NEIL HENDRICKSON DIRECTOR - BARTLETT TREE RESEARCH LABORATORIES FEBRUARY 21st
On Thursday, February 21st, Neil Hendrickson, a Director with the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories, will speak to the Y's Men of Westport/Weston. His talk will focus on the role that trees play in our environment and the associated threats arising from the environmental changes we are currently experiencing. The meeting begins at 10AM at the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East . Dr. Neil Hendrickson is a Director with the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories and is nationally recognized as an expert arborist. He conducts research, provides technical support for Bartlett throughout the US and internationally. Through his research he has gained a unique perspective on the ecological changes occurring in our area. . All of Dr. Hendrickson's degrees are all in forestry: a BS from Cook College/Rutgers University, a Masters' in Forest Science from the University of New Hampshire , and a PhD in Forest Ecology and Silviculture from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He spent several years as a faculty member in the graduate program in resource management at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. For the last twenty years, he has been a practicing arborist. In his position as Northeast Technical Representative for the R.A. Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories in Charlotte, NC, he conducts research, provides technical support for Bartlett throughout the United States and internationally, and does numerous lectures and workshops for both the green industry and other interested groups. He is a Certified Arborist, NJ Certified Tree Expert, and a member of the Society of American Foresters.
