PRADIP M. PATHARE, M.D.

 

MEDICAL DIRECTOR, WHITTINGTON CANCER CENTER AND CHIEF RADIATION ONCOLOGY AT NORWALK HOSPITAL

 

Pradip M. Pathare, M.D. Medical Director, Whittington Cancer Center and Chief Radiation Oncology at Norwalk Hospital , will speak at the weekly meeting of the Y's Men of Westport/Weston on Thursday April 10, 2008. His talk will cover as the important subject of “Prostate Cancer”. The meeting begins at 10:00 am at the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East in Westport .

Doctor Pathare has had extensive experience in this field and has a most impressive resume. Besides his positions as Chief Radiation Oncology and Cancer Center Director at Norwalk Hospital , he is also Chairman of the Neoplastic Disease Committee. Prior to that, he was Field Liaison Physician of the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons at Norwalk Hospital from 1984 to 2001.

Doctor Pathare has serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine and is Board Certified in Radiology and Board Certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.

The doctor and his wife and two children reside in Westport .

The Y's Men is an organization of about 450 retired and semi-retired men who live in Westport or Weston. They meet every Thursday morning from September to May, participate in a variety of activities from tennis and bowling to bridge and investments and volunteer in many worthwhile causes from Meals on Wheels to the Red Cross.
