Dr. James McCreath, CEO of Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services, will, speak at the weekly meeting of the Y's Men of Westport/Weston on Thursday April 10, 2008. His talk will address the subject of “The current status of mental health in our culture.” Dr. McCreath is well qualified to describe the challenges facing every community in America . These challenges include drug and alcohol abuse, depression and a variety of rehabilitation services. The meeting begins at 10:00 am at the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East in Westport . Dr. James McCreath PhD, LCSW, serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services. Hall- Brooke is an important institution in our community. Dr. McCreath came to Hall-Brooke from Jersey City Medical Center where he served for 16-years as Vice President of Behavioral Health and Ambulatory Care Services. Prior to his position with Jersey City Medical Center , Dr. McCreath worked for St. Mary's Hospital in Passaic , NJ where he advanced from Assistant Director of Mental Health Services to Assistant VP for Professional/Mental Health Services. Dr. McCreath also served on the faculty of the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers University for over 10 years. Dr. McCreath received his baccalaureate in sociology from Seton Hall University , his MSW from Columbia University and his PhD from New York University School of Social Work.
