Y’s Men volunteer for numerous programs in which we can contribute our time, energy and labor. Opportunities to volunteer for community needs arise often, but many on an irregular basis. Volunteers are called for at the regular Y’s Men meetings and asked to sign up.

We do not participate in soliciting for fundraisers nor do we take part in partisan activities. While we are involved in the area, our special focus is on activities
and nonprofits in Westport and Weston.

Examples of activities we are currently participating in:

• Stew Leonard Surplus Food Distribution; Every Tuesday, 6:15 am - pick up surplus food and distribute.

Library Book Sale: set-up and staff twice annually

Clean-up day, Westport: annual town-wide cleanup, spring

• RSVP Volunteer Drivers: transport patients to doctor’s appointments including outpatient visits at hospital

Meals-on-Wheels to the needy

Y’s Men are invited to suggest volunteer opportunities for the Y’s Men. If you have
an opportunity to suggest please email Pete Powell at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call him at 203/247-9928
