Life Talk

The YsMen offer a rich and varied array of activities for its members including physical, social, and educational events. To round out this collection, we have organized a group that focuses specifically on emotional needs, a monthly forum in which we can talk about important life issues affecting us all – for instance health, marriage, relationships, friendship, forgiveness, gratitude and more. The issues are many and universal in scope.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm in room 109-110 at the Saugatuck Congregational Church where Y’s Men meet for our speaker meetings every Thursday.

The group is led by Larry Ackerman whose career was spent working on matters of identity for individuals as well as organizations. He understands well the benefit of talking about the issues we face. Larry was president of the Temple Israel Men’s Group for several years and is currently a member of the Unitarian Church’s A Better Man group. He has attended meetings of Mike Boyle’s Aging to Saging group.
