We have about 35 members on our email list, of whom 10-15 attend a meeting. Our meetings start with the selection of the book to read for our meeting two months later. Our selections range from classics to the more recent, almost always fiction, and not overly lengthy. Recent selections include Cormac McCarthy’s All the Pretty Horses, two short novels (Small Things Like These and Foster) by Claire Keegan, Yasunari Kawabata’s Snow Country, Virginia Woolf’s, To the Lighthouse, Hernan Diaz’s Trust and Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita. Discussions, led by a different member each month, are lively and challenging. Opinions and insights vary, and the discussion enhances our understanding of the novel. Everyone has an opportunity to chip in. Just what we need to perk up a day.

If you are interested, give one of us a call or send an email and we will add you to our club.
